Eye Park - Dubailand
Tameer understands that enlightened choices are those in which your focus remains true to your dreams. It is this insight that allowed us to shape Eye Park into a unique investment opportunity in residential property. The area will be animated, and of a scale and magnitude to balance the immenseness of the desert and scale of the towers. The eye appears to radiate energy to the surroundings and then caught by the building edges. Its raison d'etre, is to create a unique neighborhood, a reason to go there, a reason to live there. Another important piece will be the curved façade of the base of towers. The form, a derivative of the eye, will be clad in a shimmering and reflective kinetic wall creating a defining edge to the park. It will begin the transition of desert meeting the sky, looking celestially to the moving reflections created by the movement of the desert wind. Architectural Organization
The Eye Park ensemble of six Mixed Use Towers will establish, with the iconic tower, the center of the Arjan district. The towers will be noticeable from great distances and will rise from the golden sand dunes as giant date palms rise from a welcome oasis. This is the place where the desert meets the sky and where the intervention of humanity will be respectful of the awesome expanse around it. What begins as mystery to those who come here quickly transforms into an appreciation of raw nature, of an ancient sea bed comprised of buff sand and sandstone. Arjan will be centered about an oval ‘crescent park’ which creates an intense natural focus utilizing planting, art with water sources. While the space is the very center of the centerpiece, it will anchor ‘the place’ by setting up the arrival sequence to the new neighborhood. The curve begins with a colonnade that connects the various retail shops and lobbies with the eye park outside. It will combine the best of local passive design techniques providing exterior comfort while applying the neighborhood pastiche established in the master plan. "Sustainable Development is development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs." Sustainable Design One of the most important design principals for Arjan is to create a sustainable living environment that provides an active and healthy lifestyle for its inhabitants. To ensure that these sustainable goals are achieved, the design and development team will adhere to the World Green Building Council LEED guidelines and metrics. Since to our knowledge, there are few certified LEED projects in Dubai, this will become an exceptional project created from an exceptional process. Another common description for sustainable development is the ‘triple bottom line’ which considers three important components: People, Planet and Profit. Sustainability is as much about energy and resources, as it is about the end users and being good stewards of the environment. These can all create great synergies that will greatly differentiate this project beyond the extraordinary and propel the identity of this project within Dubai and all of the U.A.E. However, no matter how beneficial a concept may seem from a purely social and environmental perspective, it is inherently unsustainable if it cannot be justified on economic terms and threatens the viability of the development. Arjan, as part of Dubai-land, aims to become an international destination known for the high quality of life sustained by a vital public realm rich in cultural and exceptional recreational attractions. The future of the development is critical to all design decisions. By focusing on indigenous resources, climate and energy efficiencies, Arjan will minimize its contribution to global climate change and become a most compelling place to live. Fact Sheet
